Directory Submission is an old but still useful way of promoting a new website. There are thousands of website directories available on internet that allows you free or paid listing. Initially, you can only focus on free directories but later on as you grow, you can purchase listing in good quality directories such as yahoo directory.
Link Exchange is a bit technical stuff for webmasters. In this way, website owner search related websites and then drop them an email to see if they are interested in link exchange. A two way link exchange give equal benefits to both parties. However there are also more advanced techniques such as Tree-Way link exchanges that give the benefits of one way links. Moreover, some sites also sell one way links on per month or year basis. However google dislike link trade. So better to avoid it.

Adsense Earning of Comsdev, Pakistan
In my efforts to find out Pakistani Adsense earners, I have realized that most of them are hesitating to disclose their earning details. I don’t know why they do it. Hence I am taking the initiative myself by posting a scanned cheque of my last month’s earning.
I know this is not a big amount at all. However by posting this, I hope to encourage some big Pakistani Adsense Earners to disclose their earning details and hence become a role model for rest of webmasters.

Bloggers who are passionately looking to start or increase their online earnings through their posts now have many viable and workable online advertising options at their disposal. One of the most popular and easiest method is ofcourse the, Google Adsense, which is a contextual ad program from Google.
There are many other options like Azoogle Ads, Intelli Txt, DoubleClick, Tribal Fusion, Adbrite, Clicksor, AdHearUs, Kanoodle, Pheedo, TextAds, Bidvertiser, Fastclick and Value Click. Many of these online advertising option require hassle-rich registration and payment process. One more way of earning from your blog is to offer some online material and charge nominally for it. You could comple e-books, e-logs, or some tool or some plugin or some other material and if it is interesting enough then visitors should become a customer.

1. Non-Profitable Niche
I think the major reason why bloggers are not making enough money with Google Adsense is the selection of wrong niche. As a blogger, we’ll have to understand that Google Adsense is a keyword-based advertising network which always look for keywords in the content to display relevant ads on your blogs. When the crawler of Google Adsense doesn’t find the keywords in the content of your blog for which advertisers are willing to pay higher then it will display either low pay-per-click (ppc) ads or public service ads which will definitely won’t make you good money with Google Adsense.
You can well imagine the difference of earning for example if you are getting 1000 impressions and 10 clicks with the ppc or $0.05 which means you are making only half a dollar. But if your niche is high paying and you get $.50 per click which means that you will make $5 with the same amount of clicks.
Politics is one of the least paying niche where advertisers are not willing to pay you higher, no matter how good your blog is and how many page impressions you get.
2. Wrong Ad Placement
Proper Ad placement is extremely important in making good money from Google Adsense. However, there is no single strategy for ad placement you can try as many placements as you want but do keep it in balance.
If you display too many ads on your blog it will looks spammy and readers will vanish and if you display very few ads at awkward positions you will not get good click-through-rate (CTR) which means low earning from Google Adsense.
3. Low Traffic
Generating traffic on a blog requires a lot of marketing skills and knowledge of different traffic building methods like social bookmarking, forum posting, commenting on other blogs etc.
Bloggers generally are very good in writing original content but they often fail to learn different techniques of traffic generation on their blogs and their very well written posts remain unnoticed.
Basically, making money online with blogs is all about traffic. If you’re trying to make good money with a blog, you must be looking at a few hundred thousand to more than a million unique visitors a month. A few hundred (or thousand) visitors a month is what most bloggers get. I’m not talking about making a few hundred dollars a month here and there (which most don’t even make).
4. Lack of Search Engine Optimization Techniques

Although, wordpress’ SEO plugins have made things simpler for non tech bloggers through which essential SEO work is done automatically.
